The curriculum entails courses in hygiene and good grooming, visual poise, personality development, professional ethics and law, hair-related chemistry, bacteriology, skin-related chemistry, safety practices and light therapy, sterilization and sanitation, shampoo and chemical rinses, scalp and hair care, haircutting, permanent waving, thermal pressing, chemical hair straightening, hair colouring, bleaching, streaking, hair painting, barbering techniques, finger waving, hairstyling, pin curling, braiding, beard trimming, wigs and hairpieces, manicures and artificial nails, facial treatments, facial makeup, business management, and waxing and hair removal.
