Description:

The Department of Educational Policy Studies offers master's and doctoral programs in the following specialized areas of study: Adult Education; Educational Administration and Leadership; Indigenous Peoples Education; and Theoretical, Cultural, and International Studies in Education. The Department of Educational Policy Studies strives to develop critical and creative scholars who have a substantive understanding of the important systemic and contextual factors that bear upon Canadian and international education.

    The minimum admission requirements for the EdD and PhD are a masters and bachelor's degree from a recognized academic institution and a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on most 4-point grading systems. In special circumstances a student with a GPA lower than 3.5 may be considered for admission (Pending FGSR approval).
    Test Scores:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 93] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 85]
    Application Notes : Applicants may also take a PTE with a minimum score of 63 in order to prove their English proficiency.
