FirstHost is a one-day tourism workshop that is throughout BC. Participants learn about the hospitality business and the special importance of the host, guest and place relationship. It is designed to develop excellence in customer service skills and to see the big picture of the tourism industry. Participants will increase their knowledge of Aboriginal tourism products and services especially in the area of cultural tourism.
The FirstHost workshop includes eight hours of intensive training. Participants will use a Circle Member Workbook during training sessions and for future reference. Recognizing their accomplishment, participants receive a FirstHost pin and certificate upon completion. The FirstHost certificate is recognized by tourism industry employers for entry-level positions. |
