Description:

Even though we would love to have perfect visual flight conditions, the weather doesn’t always co-operate with us. Increase your options even further by getting a single-engine IFR rating. This will allow you to fly safely in poor visibility, with no reference to the ground.
The Single-Engine Instrument Rating program offered by Montair follows guidelines set out in the Canadian Aviation Regulations. The course is based on 20 hours of simulator training and an additional 10 to 20 hours of flight instruction in one of Montair's King Silver Crown Avionics equipped Cessna 172s. Montair is a Cessna Pilot Center, and operates the latest version of the Cessna 172R complete with Autopilot and IFR Certified GPS. The actual amount of flight instruction will vary depending on the student's experience and level of training. Students must complete a written examination administered by Transport Canada. Montair offers an instrument-rating ground school course in preparation for the written examination.
