Description:

The Recording & Sound Design (RSD) career training program is designed for individuals considering a career in the audio industry. Recording & Sound Design will develop your professional skills in recording, post-production for film and television, digital editing and mixing, studio tracking, and recording techniques. You'll also develop an understanding of the wide range of business aspects within the industry.

You'll work individually and in small groups on a wide variety of projects in a broad range of musical genres. As a Recording & Sound Design student, you'll do the actual jobs done by today's audio professionals. Through this unique educational approach, Columbia Academy graduates are not only trained, but experienced as well.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants must have high school graduation or be at least 19 years of age. They must pass a personal interview with the registrar, either in person or on the phone. They must also write an entrance exam coverin the areas of vocabulary, grammar, general knowledge, reading, comprehension, and logic, and pass with a minimum of 65%.
