This program is tailored for individuals seeking to rapidly complete the licencing requirements necessary to secure a flying position. Air ambulance, aerial firefighting, air taxi, or corporate flying; this program offers students the ability to participate in a program intensely focused on flying. The Challenge program is also ideal for those applicants already holding a university degree or college diploma.
This program is for persons seeking to complete flight training in an structured manner. The one-year program consists of flight theory; airmanship courses; simulator and aircraft training, which includes the commercial pilot licence training; and advanced training generally including multi-engine and instrument ratings. There is an optional flight instructor rating. There are also academic courses. |

A C+ or better is required for the above prerequisites. Math 12 and Physics 12 are recommended. Applicants must have already completed 10 appropriate courses of post-secondary education with a minimum C average. Applicants must also satisfy an entrance evaluation, which includes an interview process, and an assessment of references. Must hold a current Transportation Canada Category 1 medical certification. . Must complete private pilot flight test 6 months prior to entrance or one year prior to entrance with atleast 10 hours of flying time within the previous 6 months. Students who don't meet this requirement must complete a flight evaluation with Coastal Pacific Aviation or designate. Must also have completed private pilot written exam within 12 months before the start date or achieve a minimum grade of 60% in the entrance exam. |
