This program involves the accumulation of 60 hours of flight time, of which 37 hours must be with an instructor and 23 hours must be solo. As well, applicants must attend 20 hours of commercial helicopter ground school.

Applicants must accumulate 60 hours of flight time, of which 37 hours must be with an instructor and 23 hours must be solo. Also must attend 20 hours of commercial helicopter ground school, achieve 60% on written examination (CHRAC) and demonstrate ability on a practical flight test.
