Description:

The University of Windsor’s two prestigious Master’s programs in English, offer students unique opportunities for a broad spectrum of careers requiring strong critical and creative communication skills. Our Master’s programs in English Language & Literature, and Creative Writing & Literature, prepare students to understand the power of language, and to develop their critical and creative thinking and writing skills. Students pursue these programs in a collegial and supportive environment with internationally renowned faculty dedicated to research, teaching, and publishing.

  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 250] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 100]
Application Notes : All applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English to be considered for admission.

All applicants must submit a detailed 500-word program of study discussing their areas of academic or creative interest, undergraduate training, career goals, and how these might be realized with the assistance of the available faculty and resources at the University of Windsor. Students with an Honours BA in English may apply to either of the MA fields and to any of the options. Students applying to the Creative Writing field must also submit a portfolio of 20-25 pages of their best creative work.Applicants must also complete a Supplementary Admissions Form and submit it with their application.
