Description:

The School of Criminology offers graduate programs leading to the degrees of Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy that are designed for individuals graduating with a Bachelors or Masters degree in criminology or students with a background in one or more of the behavioral or social sciences or with legal training, who are interested in becoming specialists in criminology.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Students holding a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution must meet the admission requirements for graduate studies. Students admitted to the program will normally have completed one intermediate criminology theory course and two intermediate research methods courses (one quantitative and one qualitative) before admission to the Master of Arts program in preparation for undertaking graduate course work.
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 93] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 580]
    Application Notes : The minimum graduate program admission requirements for test scores: Internet-based TOEFL - 93 with minimum of 20 in each category; Paper-based TOEFL - 580 and TWE 5; IELTS (academic) overall band score of 7.0 of the academic (NOT general) test with a minimum of 6.5 in each section.
