Description:

Are you passionate about leading a healthy and active lifestyle and want to motivate others to join your movement?

As a fitness and health professional, you actively promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle and develop healthy eating and fitness programs for clients.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  •  Grade12 English 
  •   Biology  or   Chemistry  or   Physics  or   Science 
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, including English – any Grade 12 (C) or (U), or equivalent. Applicants are also required to have completed Biology – Grade 11 (C) or (U) or Grade 12 (U) OR Chemistry – Grade 11 (U) or Grade 12 (C) or (U) OR Physics – Grade 11 (U) or Grade 12 (C) or (U) OR Exercise Science – (PSE4U) Grade 12 (U) OR Science - (SNC4M) Grade 12 (M) OR Introductory Kinesiology (PSK4U). Recommended courses or skills required are Healthy Active Living Education - Grade 12 (O) and related volunteer or co-operative work experience.
