| In this program, you will learn special chairside assisting skills and effective client relation techniques along with theory subjects in the field of dentistry. You will also learn the importance of preventative dentistry with the dental assistant’s role and responsibilities in a dental office. Employment for graduates of this program may be available through private practices, clinics, health units, and dental supply companies. Through clinical exposure, you will receive hands-on necessary to assist the dentist in all intra-oral procedures from patient reception to dismissal. Students will also attend a two-week workplace training placement. This training will prepare you for the workplace and in the development of quality professional competency. |
