Description:

Get your UBC degree in psychology, the study of human and animal behaviour. Psychology explores diverse topics, from the factors involved in social interactions among individuals and groups, to the processes underlying the nervous system, to moral development in children and what gives us a sense of well-being.

A psychologist might assess and treat mental or behavioural problems, use observation and experimentation to research psychological processes, or advise corporations interested in increasing employee motivation and productivity.

  •  Grade12 Physics  or  Grade12 Chemistry  or  Grade12 Biology 
  •  Grade12 Precalculus  or  Grade12 Advanced Functions

Honours Entry Requirements:


- Fourth-year standing;


- Minimum weighted average of 76% from all courses taken in Psychology;


- Minimum weighted average of 76% over the last 60 credits;


- Preliminary thesis topic approved by a thesis supervisor. Note: the department head must approve the thesis supervisor; and


- Completion of PSYO 372.
