Description:

The MBA is recognized worldwide as the hallmark of the management professional. Graduates of the UNBC MBA program develop a well-rounded understanding of the skills needed by leaders of private and public sector organizations, and the challenges facing enterprises in general, and northern ones in particular. The program is designed to allow professionals to complete their degree within two years while continuing to work full-time. During the first year of the program, students are introduced to the major disciplinary areas within the field of business, including strategy, economics, accounting, finance, organizational behaviour, marketing, and operations management. This part of the program builds the broad base of knowledge and skills required by senior management.

    To submit your application online, you will need:

    • Unofficial copies of transcripts for all post-secondary institutions attended (unofficial transcripts). Transcripts should be submitted in the original language they were produced in, accompanied by English translations (if required).     • In general, applicants to a Master’s degree program must hold a four-year baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
    • Domestic applicants are normally required to have a minimum overall average of 3.00 (B) for third- and fourth-year courses.
    • A statement of academic interest (programs may have specific requirements for the statement of interest, please review the program specific admission requirements below for specific program requirements).
    • Name and contact information for your references (an institutional email address is required). References should be submitted no later than 2 weeks after the published deadline for your program. Please review our guide to tracking your application to monitor receipt of your references.
    • All applicants must have a minimum of three years of work experience in a managerial or professional position with a minimum of three years direct management experience. This experience must be clearly articulated in your application and should include supervisory and operational decision making responsibilities (excluding any training period). These responsibilities must be at a medium level of people and informational complexity or higher, e.g; analyzing budget data, coordination the activities of subordinates. 
    • You are required to upload a completed supplemental application form in your online application.
