Description:

MSc in Medical Sciences (Dentistry) is offered for post-DDS applicants. Applicants to the program must identify a faculty member willing to supervise them prior to application to the program.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    The Department of Dentistry follows the requirements for admission of graduate students into the Medical Sciences Graduate program. Minimum GPA of three or four or equivalent to approximately 75% during each of the previous two years of university (60 credits).
    Application Notes : All applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency prior to admission either by:
    Possession of a degree or its academic equivalent from an academic institution recognized by the University of Alberta, in which the language of instruction is English.
    A satisfactory score on an approved English language examination: TOEFL paper-based score of 570; TOEFL computer-based score equivalent of 230; TOEFL internet-based score equivalent of 95 (with at least 20 per section); CAEL minimum score of 70 with at least 70 on each subtest; IELTS (Academic test) score of 7.5 with at least 6 on each band.
