|The Personal Support Worker Diploma Program is an intensive 26 week program recognized by the National Association of Career Colleges. The triOS Program combines instructor led training with a clinical work placement designed to prepare students for a career in health care.
Topics of this program include: Career Management; Medical Emergencies - CPR/First Aid; Individuality of the Person; Role of a PSW & Interpersonal Skills; Safety & Mobility; Abuse; Household Management and Meal Preparation; Optimal Support/Care Planning; Personal Hygiene; Assisting the Family & Assisting with Medications; Cognitive Impairment and Mental Health; Assisting to Manage Ongoing Conditions; Assisting the Person who is Dying; Clinical Practicum / Internship.

Mature Student Status (18 years of age and academic achievement assessment passed); able to pass a clear police check including a clear Vulnerable Sector check; a clear medical certificate indicating current immunization and free from communicable diseases; demonstrated fluency in English (oral and written); completion of a PSW Student Questionnaire and an admissions interview to determine suitability for a career as a Personal Support Worker.
