Description:With its focus on experiential learning, Humber’s Visual and Digital Arts diploma program offers you an exciting and challenging opportunity to develop an enhanced skill set applicable to a broad range of disciplines within the spectrum of visual arts. At Humber’s new dedicated art facilities, The Art Commons, you will learn to effectively plan and implement creative visual material and facilitate modes of interactive expression and communication. You will gain knowledge and skills in painting, drawing, illustration, colour, composition, figurative expressions, art history, installations, digital art and photography, and develop projects in both traditional and experimental areas of the arts. State-of-the-art software/technology, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, is used for the digital content in the program.

A unique aspect of this program takes place across all four semesters when students access and participate in experimental and collaborative projects. Students also have exciting opportunities for exhibiting their work in galleries on campus, locally and taking part in installations and critiques. The program provides a platform for experiential learning and critical thinking before students embark on more advanced creative pursuits upon graduation.
