Description:

Learn about processes influential in the Earth’s geologic past that establish our present and future global development such as evolution, climate change, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, plate tectonics, mountain building, planetary geology and the formation of hydrocarbon reservoirs and mineral deposits. Use an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to understand Earth by applying knowledge from biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. A concentration in Environmental Geoscience is also available. Your career: environmental assessment or remediation; natural resources exploration; research and technical positions in laboratories; teaching; water resources

  • 2 of  Grade12 Biology  or  Grade12 Earth and Space Science  or  Grade12 Chemistry  or  Grade12 Physics 

Admission Requirements

  • OOSSD with six Grade 12 courses at the 4U or 4M level
  • Prerequisite courses must be at the 4U level with no individual grade below 60%
  • Grade 12 English 4U is recommended for all degrees
  • Grade 12 4U/4M credits for co-op work experience will not be considered as part of the six courses

  • Two credits from Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science or Physics
