Field of Study:Fashion/Apparel Design
Length:2 Year(s)
Careers:Theatre, Fashion, Exhibit and Other Creative Designers

Description:

This program provides the students with further and more in-depth knowledge of Fashion Design. This program is more challenging as we study more formal and complicated designs. The collections the students produce for the second year allow them to gain experience in tailoring and techniques used for finer fabrics.

The second year's classes include: Pattern Drafting, Clothing Construction, Draping, Computer Aided Design and Fashion Graphic Design. Like the Basic Fashion Design program, the Advanced Fashion Design class assignments are linked and work based. Students design their line and illustrate it in Graphic Design, realize the patterns in Pattern Drafting and sew the garments in Clothing Construction. Students then have the opportunity to display and show off their work at the annual fashion show that they have been planning throughout the year.
