Description:Humber’s Theatre Arts - Production diploma program provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to launch your career working in the professional theatre industry. You will learn how to build exquisite props, puppets, costumes, set pieces and painted scenery; how to incorporate light and sound into a theatrical performance; and how to serve the collaborative team through stage and production management. You will develop hands-on expertise mounting productions for the Humber Theatre season in partnership with students enrolled in our Theatre Arts - Performance program. The Humber Theatre season is fully integrated with the academic curriculum to ensure that neither productions nor classes are compromised.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:

- Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent)

- Three Grade 11 or Grade 12 C, M or U courses in addition to those listed above

or

Mature student status

or

College or university transfer status

Recommended: Grade 12 Mathematics (MAP4C, MCT4C, MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U (or equivalent)

Test Scores:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 76]
