Description:The one-year, General Arts and Science Certificate program is designed to accommodate a wide range of individual educational goals. Perhaps you are on a voyage of personal and career improvement, or are looking to enhance your academic skills and prepare for further studies? This program helps you to acquire transferable skills and credits for your postsecondary education at either college or university. As a successful graduate of this program, you will be able to communicate clearly, concisely and correctly in written and spoken English, and demonstrate an understanding of fundamental concepts in areas such as human health, science, the social sciences, the arts, civics, the humanities, technology and/or in business and the economy. You will learn to apply basic research methods, analyze social dynamics including social diversity, trends and problems, think critically, problem solve, make effective, ethical decisions, and apply effective strategies for personal, academic and career improvement.

    19 years of age or older OR Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent) with courses from the College (C), University (U), University/College (U/C), or Open (O) preparation levels with Grade 12 English (C/U) Level. or successful completion of the Mature Student Assessment. or successful completion of the General Education Development Test (GED). or appropriate credits from the Academic and Career Entrance program (ACE). Courses Recommended: Grade 12 College or University preparation English
