Description:

Communication Studies is online, interactive, and connected. Society is in the midst of a fundamental shift in how we communicate with each other, access information, and view popular culture.

As a Communication Studies student on our Saint John campus, you will cast a critical eye on the impact of new technologies and processes on our social, political, economic, and cultural landscapes. Topics include the decline of newspapers, radio, and television; the rise of Twitter, Facebook, and other social media; the impact of mobile computing; and the eternal question of, "Do we control our devices or do our devices determine who we are?"
