Civil engineers design, construct and maintain all types of buildings and transportation systems. That’s an extensive list that includes office towers, highways, airports, canals, bridges, industrial plants, water and sewage treatment systems, hydroelectric developments, and irrigation systems.
Areas of specialization are: structural, geotechnical, regional and municipal planning, transportation, construction and construction materials, and sanitary, environmental, and hydro electrical engineering. |
