All returning students are required to pay their regular student fees ($164) in full by June 7, 2017 before registering for their courses. New students are required to pay the $164 in full by June 30, 2017 before they register. Payments may be made in full before registration by cash, debit card, Visa, MasterCard, money order or cheque. Post dated cheques will not be accepted. Any remaining fees (non-resident of Quebec, convocation fees, part time in-program fees, etc…) will be assessed by August 22 and due by September 8, 2017. Late payment fees of $25.00 will be applied to overdue accounts.

Description:

The Professional Theatre (Acting) Program enjoys a strong reputation in the theatre and television/motion picture community. As a student in this program, you will be trained to work as a professional actor. Working in dedicated rehearsal spaces and performing in a modern theatre, you will be prepared for performance both before the camera as well as on stage. The skills acquired in the Professional Theatre (Acting) Program will allow you to be an excellent communicator in any field.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants must have a Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) or equivalent, including Secondary V Language of Instruction, Secondary V Second Language, Secondary IV Science, Secondary IV Mathematics, and Secondary IV History. Students with a DES missing any of the above subjects may be admitted, space permitting, but may be required to complete remedial courses.
    Additional Admission Requirements:
      Applicants are required to attend an audition and perform one Shakespearean monologue, one monologue from any contemporary play and a short unaccompanied song.
