All returning students are required to pay their regular student fees ($164) in full by June 7, 2017 before registering for their courses. New students are required to pay the $164 in full by June 30, 2017 before they register. Payments may be made in full before registration by cash, debit card, Visa, MasterCard, money order or cheque. Post dated cheques will not be accepted. Any remaining fees (non-resident of Quebec, convocation fees, part time in-program fees, etc…) will be assessed by August 22 and due by September 8, 2017. Late payment fees of $25.00 will be applied to overdue accounts.

Description:

The Civil Engineering Technology Program will prepare you with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as a Civil Engineering Technologist. You will learn to interpret engineering drawings and estimate quantities and workforce costs, materials and equipment required for construction projects. You will acquire surveying skills, evaluate the condition of infrastructure, design and layout of existing structures and new rehabilitation projects. In a province undergoing massive investment in renewal, your expertise will help make a difference in the safety and efficiency of cities’ infrastructure.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants must have a Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) or equivalent, including Secondary V Language of Instruction, Secondary V Second Language, Secondary IV Science, Secondary IV Mathematics, Secondary IV History, Mathematics 564-506 or 565-506 or Mathematics 526, and Science 558-404 or 558-402 or Physical Science 436. Students with a DES missing any of the above subjects may be admitted, space permitting, but may be required to complete remedial courses.
