Humber Polytechnic's Comedy: Writing and Performance program is a three-semester diploma program taught over a single year. You'll learn how to be funny both behind the scenes and in front of the camera at Humber’s new state-of-the-art Cultural Hub, a world-class, technology-rich teaching and performance space. In the first ten weeks of each semester, you'll attend our studio learning intensive, followed by four weeks in which you will produce varied performances. And every week you'll get the opportunity to perform stand-up at YukYuk's Comedy Club in Toronto. Not only will you study acting, improvisation and writing, you'll learn how to make social media comedy content for platforms such as TikTok and YouTube, and you'll train with expert comedians, writers and social media influencers. Collaborations with other programs in the Faculty of Media, Creative Arts, and Design, and master classes with international guest artists and comedians-in-residence round out this intensive and unique comedy experience. |
