Description:Process Operations prepares students for careers as process operators. Process operators control machinery and processes in manufacturing and processing facilities. Once students have completed the program, they are eligible to write their fourth class Power Engineering Alberta Boiler Safety Association (ABSA) exam. The Process Operations program focuses on: plant operations, process flow and mechanical drawing, lab maintenance, chemistry and corrosion, mathematics, and communication. The MacPhail School of Energy offers the benefit of small class sizes and hands-on training in state-of-the-art labs by industry-experienced and professionally trained instructors. The program consists of 35 weeks in classes and laboratories and a four-week practicum in industrial training at plant sites.
