Description:Humber’s Acting for Film and Television diploma program covers the full spectrum of training needed to succeed as a screen actor: acting, voice, movement, improvisation and script analysis. You’ll learn what it takes to express yourself through the art and craft of screen acting, gain on-camera confidence and learn how to shine at an audition. When you graduate, you’ll have a solid understanding of the craft and industry – its history, protocols and professional standards.

Our program has one of the most comprehensive curricula in Canada and is taught by leading practitioners and respected professional actors. Workshop simulations, screen demos, voice-over demos and our spring motion picture showcase provide you with unequalled opportunities to experience the world of screen acting. As well, you’ll have the chance to discuss your work with some of the acting world’s most recognizable faces, as well as with key industry personnel.

To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:

- Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent)

- Three Grade 11 or Grade 12 C, M or U courses in addition to those listed above

or

Mature student status

or

College or university transfer status

Test Scores:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 76]
