Description:

This 24-week program is for students with some carpentry experience who wish to acquire a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge to seek entry-level employment in the construction industry. This program enables those seeking apprenticeships to market themselves to future employers.

Carpenters have opportunities to work in residential, commercial, light industrial or the heavy construction field of new construction, renovations and maintenance.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Secondary School graduation or BC Adult Graduation Diploma, or GED, or Mature student status (age 19 prior to the start of classes) and completion of a College assessment to an acceptable level
