Description:

The cross-disciplinary certificate in Digital Health equips you to lead in the evolving field of health information management. As digital systems play an increasingly vital role in patient care, this certificate explores the societal implications, practical applications, and emerging challenges in digital health and health informatics. You will gain hands-on experience in database design, user needs analysis, Electronic Health Records (EHRs), information system management, and evidence-based decision-making.

This certificate can be completed as part of current York undergraduate degree studies (concurrent certificate) or as a stand-alone credential (consecutive certificate) if you have previously completed an accredited university degree or college diploma and meet minimum requirements for admission.

    Current York University Students 


    New Applicants to York University 

    • The Digital Health certificate is open to: 
    • Applicants who have completed an accredited college diploma with an overall average of at least a B or
    • Applicants who have completed a degree at an accredited university with an overall average of at least a C 
    • New applicants can apply to the Digital Health certificate using the York University application online.

    Please note that meeting the minimum admission requirements is not a guarantee of admission. Applicants cannot complete Digital Health as a stand-alone certificate if they are currently enrolled in any undergraduate or graduate degree at York, but can complete it as a concurrent certificate. Studying in the Digital Health certificate is not a pathway to a degree program at York.
