Description:

This dynamic and stimulating music performance course is designed for classical music instrumentalists and singers who want to work professionally in the music industry.

The BMus (Hons) Performance degree will prepare you for a successful career in music with an internationally renowned team of lecturers, professional musicians, researchers, and acclaimed instrumental and vocal teaching staff.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

    Applicants with the following qualifications will be considered for entry on an undergraduate degree:

    • Canadian High School Diploma or Secondary School Diploma with minimum score of 65% in five grade 12 courses 
    • 70%+ in English in Year 12 from English Speaking Region 
    • Associate degree (2 year programme) with a minimum GPA of 2.8/4 
    • British/International A Levels (from a minimum 112 UCAS tariff points depending on course) 
    • IB Diploma (from a minimum 25 points depending on course) 
    • Second and final year entry of a Bachelors degree may be available for those with a Higher National Diploma (HND) from the UK with a merit profile 
    • A recognised foundation course 
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) or DuoLingo or Pearson Test of English (Academic) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based)
    Additional Admission Requirements:

      Mature applicants (aged 21+): If you do not hold the qualifications listed but have relevant work experience, you are welcome to apply. Your application will be considered on an individual basis. 


      Level 5 (year 2) entry 

      To directly enter the second year of this course, you will need to show appropriate knowledge and experience. For example, you are an ideal candidate if you have 120 undergraduate credits at Level 4 or a CertHE in a related subject area.


      Level 6 (year 3) entry 

      To directly enter the third year of this course, you need to show appropriate knowledge and experience. For example, you are an ideal candidate if you have 240 undergraduate credits (at Levels 4 and 5), a DipHE, foundation degree or HND in a related subject area.
