Description:

The General (BSc) degree provides diversified training, giving students broad exposure to the major areas of science at the introductory level.

The three-year General program requirements ensure you have both a breadth and depth of scientific understanding by providing you with a comprehensive education. The program consists of entry and upper-level science courses from science departments of your choice and is flexible enough, in most departments, to allow you to choose courses that would facilitate transferring to the four-year Major.

    High school graduation, including 5 full credits at the Grade 12 level.


    A minimum average of 80% over the following, with no less than 60% in each course:

    1. English
    2. Applied Mathematics or Pre-Calculus Mathematics
    3. One of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Physics
    4. One academic senior-level course
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based)
