Bachelor of Science (Hons) Geomatic and Land Surveying is a professionally oriented degree that focuses on the core disciplines of land surveying, geodesy, mapping, and advanced geomatics technologies. The programme develops graduates with strong technical and analytical capabilities in spatial measurement, boundary determination, positioning science, and geospatial data management. It emphasises precision, professional ethics, and technical competence—key foundations for work in land surveying and geospatial sectors. Students will gain extensive hands-on experience through fieldwork, survey camps, applied projects, research activities, and industrial training. This practical exposure strengthens their ability to operate confidently with modern surveying instruments, GNSS technologies, photogrammetric systems, remote sensing tools, and geospatial software used across the geomatics industry. The programme also cultivates problem-solving skills and technical judgement essential for professional surveying practice. |
