Description:

Sculpture & Environmental Art at The Glasgow School of Art is one of the few specialist undergraduate programmes in the UK, and the only one in Scotland, dedicated to exploring relationships between object-making, art in public and social engagement, underpinned by contemporary critical and cultural debates and conditions. Sculpture & Environmental Art is taught by practising artists and researchers at the forefront of the field and is designed for students dedicated to achieving both artistic excellence and cultural relevance in our fast-changing world. Renowned for our globally successful and locally engaged practising alumni, including Turner Prize winners and nominees past and present, Sculpture & Environmental Art is a diverse community of practice situated within Glasgow's distinct and dynamic artistic and cultural ecology.

Prerequisites:

    International Baccalaureate: 30 points overall in the Diploma, including 18 at Higher Level, normally including English and Maths.

    To apply to the GSA, you will need to meet or be on track to achieve our academic requirements, submit a digital portfolio of your work, and, for most programmes, attend an interview. Your academic qualifications show that you have the potential to succeed at degree level, while your portfolio demonstrates that you can benefit from our studio-based learning environment. The interview gives us a chance to get to know you better, understand your creative approach, and see how you might develop as part of our community.
