BIU’s Faculty of Jewish Studies is the largest of its kind globally. The Faculty is divided into 10 departments with 16 research institutes and centers plus a wide variety of programs that are taught by some of the best, internationally recognized academic scholars in the Jewish world. A multidisciplinary degree in Jewish Studies is a stimulating and rewarding choice. The field of Jewish Studies combines elements from a wide range of academic disciplines, including history, literature, philosophy, theology, sociology, and more. Your Multidisciplinary BA in Jewish Studies will include a variety of courses from different areas that best reflect your interests, providing you with a deeper understanding of the complexities of Jewish identity and the diversity of the Jewish experience. These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

    The international school can admit applicants to the BA program in English Literature only if they meet the following criteria:

    • High school diploma from an English speaking country (US, Canada, UK, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand)
    • SAT or ACT grades as specified below: –
    • SAT 1200 or above, with EBRW of 650 or above
    • ACT with a combined score of 57 in English+Reading

    For admission to the Jewish Studies program, the minimum requirement is a score of 90 from high school (only from accredited countries) or a score of 1000 on the SAT.


    Additionally, you must submit a Letter of Intent.

    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) or Scholastic Aptitude Test
