Whether it’s the chaos and explosions of the Hollywood blockbusters or the fine detail that brings motion capture characters to life, we can help you to carve out a career in Animation and Computer Generated Imagery. 

This programme is designed to give you employable skills. Gain experience using the same animation and CGI software that industry uses.  

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

    Any qualification (New Zealand or overseas) recognised by NZQA as being equivalent to the achievement of NCEA Level 3. If you have undertaken examinations other than NCEA (e.g. International Baccalaureate, Cambridge Examination), NMIT will assess your qualification for academic entry equivalency.

    • Canada: High School Graduation Diploma or Senior Secondary Graduation Diploma.  
    • Required courses: Science (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, General Science, or approved science subjects), English, and one other approved subject
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) or Pearson Test of English (Academic)
