Description:

Our Paramedic Science degree prepares you to work at the frontline of patient care. Paramedics work in dynamic environments and administer a range of often life-saving treatments to people suffering from traumatic injuries and/or medical problems.

Paramedics are often the first emergency service on the scene but also work in a multitude of settings including GP surgeries and the community. This course aims to prepare you for the challenges of providing emergency and urgent care to a diverse population in pre-hospital and out-of-hospital environments.

    Students who have completed secondary school studies (Grade 12) or the Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS).

    Students who hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) from High School with a minimum score of 30 overall.

    Students are required to have:

    • an IELTS score of at least 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or
    • TOEFL iBT with a score of 79 and a minimum component score of 18 or
    • TOEFL iBT (new scoring scale) 4.0 overall with a minimum component score of 4.0.
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based)
    Additional Admission Requirements:

      Applicants will be required to attend an online interview subject to meeting the academic entry requirements. In line with the National Health Service constitution we use a values-based recruitment approach in seeking candidates with the appropriate values to support effective team working in delivering excellent patient care.

      You are not required to hold a C1 driving licence as part of the entry requirement for this programme, although it is recommended that you work towards achieving this during the course.
