The MSc programme in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences of the Department of Biological Sciences aims at providing students with high quality education of international standing, so that that they can develop a deep understanding of their science and versatie thinking, something critical for their professional career in the modern environment. The programme entails theoretical, statistics and computational biology coursework and practicals, as well as a literature-based or laboratory-based dissertation. Graduates may continue their studies in postgraduate programmes in Cyprus or abroad, or find employment in education, clinical and diagnostic labs, the pharmaceutical industry, biomedical research, the biotechnology sector and similar. |

Applicants must have a University degree awarded by an accredited institution in the country where it operates, or a degree evaluated as equivalent to a University degree by the Cyprus Council for the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (KY.S.A.T.S). Individuals who will be awarded a University degree or Graduation certificate fulfilling the necessary criteria by the end of the week that precedes registration week, are also eligible to apply. Applications for a Postgraduate Programme should include the following: - Application through the Online Application System of the UCY.
- A recognised University Degree.
- University Transcripts as appropriate.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- A short statement (max. two pages) of research goals and interests.
- Two (2) letters of recommendation.
- English Language Certificates (in case the candidate will study in an English-taught postgraduate programme or in case knowledge of the English language is required).
- Other certificates and verifications that will assist the evaluation committee in the evaluation process of the applications, such as employment certificates etc.
- For Applications to a PhD programme: A preliminary research proposal for a PhD place (if this is stated in the departments regulations).
Minimum Admission Criteria for a Postgraduate Programme are: - A recognised university degree or equivalent qualification in a subject related to the programme.
- Grades in related degrees and other certificates.
- At least two recommendation letters.
