The bachelor's level of education in the Animal Protection and Welfare study programme is focused on obtaining broad and deep knowledge, experience and skills in the field of animal nutrition, animal husbandry, animal behavior, animal welfare conditions, including the legal aspect of animal protection. The laboratory control of animal protection and welfare is also a part of the course and teaches the students the modern methods of biochemical, haematological and molecular analysis. The University of Veterinary Sciences in Brno opened a study course of Animal Protection and Welfare in order to satisfy the demand for university-educated professionals in the field of animal protection against cruelty, animal protection against stress, pain and suffering, animal protection in handling animals, in the active formation of appropriate conditions for animals and for the control of these conditions. |

General Requirements: Completed secondary education with a final exam (Maturita) - Must be proven by an officially certified copy of the secondary school leaving certificate.
For foreign applicants: - Must provide nostrification or equivalency confirmation of foreign secondary education.
- Must be submitted no later than the day of enrollment.
Medical fitness confirmation - A written medical certificate confirming the applicant is fit to study.
- Must be issued by a doctor in general medicine or pediatrics.
Two passport-size photographs Submit the electronic application (e-application) Pay the application fee - 300 CZK for bachelor programs.
