Description:

The behavior analysis program at Miami Regional University offers training to undergraduate students in the scientific study of human and other animal behavior to teach the basic concepts and principles of behavior analysis. Students will learn to analyze how behavior changes when interacting with the surrounding environment. The program aims to train students to think like behavior analysts. Students will learn the fundamental principles of behavior and how to use the principles and procedures developed to modify behavior in the context of ethical responsibility. Additionally, students will learn about research designs, statistical analysis techniques used in psychological science, and the more specialized single-subject experimental methods more commonly employed by behavior analysts.

    All applicants must meet the general admission requirements as indicated below:

    • Interview with an admission representative
    • Provide Proof of Graduation (POG) from high school or its equivalent
    • Provide proof of age and identification (government issued; applicant must be seventeen or older at the start of the first class)
    • Demonstrate ability to meet applicable program-specific requirements
    • Complete the application for the appropriate program
    • For students whose Proof of Graduation (POG) from high school or its equivalent is from a foreign country but who are Board Certified Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), the English as a Second Language (ESL) proficiency exam requirement will be waived.
    • The student will complete an interview with one of the following: IEPOC program coordinator, BSABA program coordinator, or Dean of Arts & Sciences, where college-level English language readiness must be demonstrated. If not demonstrated, the student must take the English proficiency exam.
    Test Scores:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration)
