This 2-semester exploratory program helps develop the academic skills you will need to complete certificate to degree-level studies, while allowing you to sample different subject areas in a variety of fields including Health and Wellness, Business, Media and Creative Arts, Applied Sciences and Technology, Community and Social Services and Liberal Studies. Transferrable skills and transfer credits will be a benefit in future studies and help make your transition into college or degree-level studies easier. To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following: - Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, including these required courses:
- Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent)
Post-admission testing in writing and basic mathematics is required. Applicants may be counselled into an alternative choice based on test results. While the General Arts and Science programs have been designed to prepare students to enter a major course of study in their chosen area, a General Arts and Science certificate or diploma is neither a guarantee, nor a requirement, for entry into subsequent programs at Humber or elsewhere
