Humber’s General Arts and Science – English for Academic Purposes (EAP) certificate program is an intensive, full-time academic pathway program. The curriculum is geared toward English language learners who want to improve their language competence and fluency in writing, communication and critical thinking skills for entry into most college diploma, degree and graduate certificate programs or for further professional development. The program focuses on communicative academic English and integrates listening and reading (receptive skills) and speaking and writing (productive skills), together with classroom interaction and mediation language activities and strategies, to support students in achieving their language goals. You will benefit from innovative language study skills and accessible individual tutoring support. |

- As a program geared towards providing students with the necessary academic English skills to succeed in furthering their studies at Humber and abroad, all students who apply to the EAP program must provide an English Language Placement test result from an approved list in order to determine the starting level of study. The list of approved English Language Placement tests can be found here.
- Domestic applicants who are under the age of 19 must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
- It is recommended that students have a minimum high-beginner level of English knowledge
