Demand for data scientists is growing as more businesses, government agencies and nonprofits use data to make informed decisions.
Data scientists are more involved on the front end of data, and they contribute to numerous fields by:
- Gathering organizing and structuring large data sets from a variety of sources
- Using statistical tools to extract meaningful information from large data sets for specific applications
- Analyzing data to interpret information displayed in multiple different forms
- Developing algorithms and new ways to gather and interpret data |
