The Kent Business School Accounting and Finance Department has a strong international reputation for its research on public sector accounting, critical accounting and accounting history. Our Accounting scholars’ research interests include privatisation and neoliberalism, public sector accounting and accountability, the social and political importance of accounting, accounting for sustainability, accounting history and optimal capital markets. |

For entry to a Kent PhD programme, Canadian students typically need to have completed a Master's degree/Maîtrise in a relevant discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 at an accredited university or college. Students who have not completed a thesis as part of their degree will need to show evidence of previous research experience. All applicants are considered on an individual basis and additional qualifications, professional qualifications and relevant experience may also be taken into account when considering applications. |
