Description:

The Master's program in Conservation and Restoration provides specialized training in preserving materials like wood, paper, textiles, and metal. Combining theory with hands-on experience, students work in advanced labs and gain practical skills through workshops and field projects. Placements at the Croatian Conservation Institute, museums, and cultural institutions across Croatia, along with opportunities for international study via Erasmus+, offer expert mentorship in both traditional and modern techniques. Graduates are prepared for careers in museums, galleries, and cultural heritage preservation, contributing to the protection of global heritage.

Prerequisites:

    Applicants must have completed their Undergraduate (Bachelor's) Program: Equivalent to 180 ECTS and a minimum GPA of 3.5.

    The right to enrol in the first year of the graduate university study of Conservation and Restoration have those applicants who have completed the undergraduate study programme of Conservation and Restoration and similar study programmes. A committee is to be established to decide about the applicants from similar study programmes. A representative of the workshop in the specialisation track that the applicant wishes to enrol is an obligatory member of this committee. This committee determines the criteria for the enrolment in the graduate study.

    Applications from candidates with a GPA of 3.0 may be considered conditionally, provided they submit two letters of recommendation.
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 65]
    Application Notes : Applicants must have minimum proficiency at B1 level, demonstrated by one of the following: IELTS Academic: Minimum band score of 5.0, TOEFL Essentials: Minimum band score of 7.0, TOEFL iBT: Total score of 65, with at least 17 in Writing and no less than 16 in other sections. Applicants without these certificates may take an English language proficiency test arranged by the University of Dubrovnik (UNIDU).
    Additional Admission Requirements:
      There will be a mandatory interview to evaluate the candidate's qualifications and motivation for the program.
