Bachelor requirements: - Entering the Master’s specialisation in Adaptive Organisms requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field of science. Your foreign Bachelor's degree must be equivalent to a Bachelor's degree obtained at a Dutch research university. Please be aware that there are two types of higher education in the Netherlands: a university of applied sciences and a research university. Learn more about the differences.
- Students must have passed (preliminary) examinations containing the following subject matter:
- Genetics (6 credits)
- Ecology (6 credits)
- Plant Physiology (6 credits)
- Animal Physiology (6 credits)
- Biochemistry (6 credits)
- Molecular Biology / Genomics (Big Data) (6 credits)
- Bachelor (final) project including writing a thesis worth at least 10 EC
- Additional 60 credits of biology-related courses
Please note: 1 credit is equal to 28 hours of study.
Students must be familiar with research methods, academic writing and critical thinking, which could be demonstrated e.g. by having completed a final BSc thesis or internship. |
