Forensic psychology looks at the connections between mental health, social development and problem behaviours – from identifying a risk of crime to crime being committed, criminal investigations, legal proceedings and the monitoring and release of offenders.
As well as informing punishment and prevention, forensic psychologists advise on treatment and rehabilitation of offenders and contribute to debates on policing, crime and the criminal justice system. |
