Description:

The Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (BSc) program provides you with an opportunity to conduct research under the guidance of experienced faculty mentors. During two summer terms while you are in the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program, you will develop skills in research design and methodology.

This program is available only to students who are already enrolled in the DMD program.

    The following are minimum requirements for entry into the program. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

    To qualify for the Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (BSc) program, you must:

    • Be enrolled in the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program.
    • Good academic standing in the DMD program with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The admission GPA cut-off based on the average over the past five years for students enrolled in the BSc (Dent) program has been 3.60.

    Selection is based on your academic achievement and demonstrated interest in research. The final decision will be made by the Undergraduate Research Committee.
