As a dental hygienist, you have the power to influence patients’ oral and overall health – and make them smile with confidence. In this program, you’ll build on your previous bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene with a science-based academic curriculum, so you’ll be well prepared to advance your career outside of clinical practice.
Our 36-credit hour online master’s degree program specifically designed for practicing dental hygienists can be earned part-time and culminates in a thesis. When you graduate, you’ll be well prepared to move forward as an educator, administrator or researcher.
Attendance at an in-person orientation on the Boston campus is required for all new students prior to Fall enrollment. |

For admission to the program, an applicant must have:
- Graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- One year of work experience in healthcare*
- A minimum TOEFL score of 79 or a score of 6.5 on the IELTS is required of all candidates for whom English is not the native language
*This requirement may be waived for MCPHS graduates. |
