Designed specifically for law clerks, this option provides the opportunity to complete an LL.M. with research paper at the University of Ottawa at the same time as or within five (5) years of completing a clerkship for a judge at the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, a provincial Court of Appeal or another court deemed equivalent by the Faculty of Law. Interested candidates must submit an application for admission to the LL.M, without concentration, with research paper program. The law clerk option is not possible in LL.M programs with concentration because of the program structures.
