Description:

Gain the knowledge and skills you need for a career in electrical and electronic engineering. The course gives you the opportunity to improve your knowledge and keep up with the latest developments in the industry. You’ll develop your understanding of key aspects of electrical and electronics engineering, and explore how they fit into the context of industrial sectors and rapidly-developing everyday applications. You’ll address the challenges, problems and solutions involved in electrical and electronics engineering in modern industry, including optimal and intelligent electronic system design and development, and engineering operation and management. You’ll study and research new approaches in this field – and apply them to both real-world and research-orientated problems.



This course has been designed for students interested in developing their careers in both theoretical and practical areas of electrical and electronic engineering. It also prepares students wishing to continue their study to doctorial level research. Students successfully completing this course will be able to make an immediate contribution to a company’s performance and operations within the broad spectrum of modern industry.

    Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree (three-year or four-year) at a recognised institution, with a minimum cumulative grade/ GPA (using 0-4 GPA scale) equivalent, corresponding to the published course entry requirements (please see the degree classification required on the course page for the degree programme to which you are applying). For Bachelor’s degrees completed in Canada:
    First degree class required: 3.6 GPA or higher (minimum 82%)
    2:1 degree class required: 2.9 – 3.59 GPA (minimum 70%)
    2:2 degree class required: 2.4 – 2.89 GPA (minimum 62%)
